It was bound to happen. The AOL Time Warner mega-conglomerate finally dropped the axe on their Mozilla developers. Now Mozilla truly moves out on its own, though AOL is throwing them a bone of a couple million to start the Mozilla Foundation.

The budget impasse has actually made the legislature less popular than Governor Davis. That’s kinda amazing, considering millions of Californians (including myself) signed the petition to recall Mr. Davis. Yet there we are–people think even less of the legislature than they do of the good Governor.
