SCO vs. the GPL
October 29, 2003Wow, SCO has launched a legal assault on the GPL, the license that governs a lot of open source code including Linux. I am really surprised–it seemed they had a decent claim on the copyright/intellectual property issues but why are they now assaulting the very foundation of open source software?
I don’t think SCO is making themselves a lot of friends out there, except possibly over at Microsoft. So many people have embraced open source software, and the GPL that protects it.
