Britney Spears’ album debuts at #1
November 26, 2003I thought she was already a has-been but I guess that little kiss with Madonna helped boost interest in Britney. Her new album debuted at #1 on the charts.
I’m also surprised by the raw numbers–nearly 600,000 copies sold this week. I’d have thought that this week before Thanksgiving would be kinda dead in retail, people all waiting for the big Friday post-Thanksgiving sales. Apparently not Britney’s fans–they jumped right on the new album the minute it hit the stores.
