Thanksgiving at a Pacer’s game

November 29, 2003

Well, I didn’t spend all Thanksgiving at a Pacer’s game. But I did go up to Indianapolis over the holiday, and I saw the Pacers beat the Nicks. Even took a photo with my cell phone. Check it out:

Wasn’t much of a game though–the Pacers thoroughly tromped the Nicks. Funny thing is, both sides seemed to do well from the free-throw line. I don’t know the statistic but during the game it felt like they were both doing 90% or better from the line. Usually that’s a good thing, but I guess not when both teams are doing well in that regard.

It was my first NBA game, and it was a lot of fun. The Conseco Fieldhouse is a nice arena, and I got last-minute tickets that were really pretty good. First level, mid-court, row 15. Sweet spot–you could see all the action and the players weren’t tiny little ants which they would be if you were up in the second or third level of the arena.
