Open Source Awards
January 15, 2004Okay, shameless self promotion but what else can you do with a Blog anyway? We published today a package of stories about the Open Source Awards which my employer is co-sponsoring.
These articles actually turned out better than I could have hoped for. Our biggest challenge was the timing–we were trying to interview folks over the Christmas holiday. It proved very difficult to track down some of the winners so they could be interviewed for the articles.
The ingenuity of these projects is amazing–it is so awesome that there are bright programmers out there who want to just share the fruits of their knowledge with the open source community. I keep thinking I should try to contribute but I’m such a lousy programmer compared to these people..
