Google Orkut
January 23, 2004I wonder if Google is going to make a business out of the social network site they recently launched. Well, one of their engineers launched it that is–a site called Orkut.
It’s kinda cool that Google encourages their engineers to do personal projects like Orkut, and Google News. Frankly I love Google News, couldn’t live without it. It has become as indispensible to me as Google itself. And of course Blogger.com, which Google bought rather than incubate in-house, is also indispensible to me now.
The jury is still out on Orkut. Though I did join.
