Louisville Boat & RV Show
January 30, 2004So last night I went to the Boat & RV show over at the Louisville Fairgrounds. There were some really cool boats and RV’s out there.
My favorite boat (mostly because it’s small enough to fit in my garage) was the Sportster from Sea-Doo. Very stylish, I was so tempted to talk to the sales guy but I knew if I did I might end up walking out of there with a damn boat that I don’t really need and can’t really afford.
One scary thing was how some of the jet-skis have engines bigger than the one on my car. Like this one also from Sea-Doo.
On the RV/trailer end of things I know what I’m going to do when it comes time to get myself off the grid. I’m buying a piece of land somewhere in the desert and putting an Airstream Safari on the lot. Maybe hook it up to a wind generator for a little electric power.
Another cute little trailer, emphasis on the word “little”, was the Little Guy. Literally just barely room to sleep two inside, the thing is small enough to be towed easily even by a small sub-compact car. Would make for a great cheap road trip to the beach or something like that.
Sigh, I shouldn’t go to shows like this. I end up seeing all kinds of things I want to buy but can’t really afford.
