I hate Infiniti

I have an Infiniti G20 that I’m really beginning to hate. I bought it used three years ago, and for a while I really liked it. It cost about what a new Honda Civic would have cost me, but had a lot more creature comforts like leather seats, automatic climate control, and power driver’s seat.

But ever since it hit the 60,000 mile mark six weeks ago, things have just gone downhill fast. For one thing the Infiniti 60,000 mile checkup is so expensive–if you get everything checked it’s like $1,000 and even the “light” version where you put off some of the testing clocks in at $600.

And what really pisses me off is just a month after paying for that 60,000 mile tuneup, the starter goes out on me. And that’s gonna cost another $500 to replace.

The car is getting too unreliable, and the dealership experience is not worth the extra money you pay for all this maintainence compared to an American car dealer. I’m thinking of trading this in at Carmax–they’ve got some used Jeep Liberty’s available. I need 4WD anyway now that I live in Kentucky instead of San Francisco.
