Mega-bruise from liposuction
July 8, 2004Wow, I have a really nice huge bruise on my lower abdomen from the liposuction. I know they went over this during the pre-op but it’s still amazing to see. It stretches across the entire lower ab area, like Barry Bonds took a bat and hit me square across that region.
It doesn’t really hurt but it’s itchy as hell, which is a problem because when you go to try and scratch then it hurst. Because the area is still sore, still healing.
One of the pre-op warnings is that you have to avoid any sun exposure to the surgical area for about a month. Since sunlight can exacerbate bruises and can in fact cause permanent visible marks to the bruised area. So no sunning on my back porch for a while.
