I gotta take up biking
July 21, 2004On a tough uphill climb thru the Alps, Lance Armstrong averaged 14.5 mph. I have trouble reaching that speed on a flat straightaway.
Which reminds me, I really need to get a bike. I haven’t had one since forever. And according to the manual, most bikes will fit right inside the rear compartment of my new CR-V so I don’t even need to get a bike rack.
There’s so many choices out there though, I’m kinda paralyzed by too many options. I definitely don’t want to spend a lot, but even in my cheap-ass price range there’s tons of bikes available. I’ll probably not go the Target route, maybe Galyan’s or Dick’s Sporting Goods. Sounds like a good thing to go shopping for this weekend.
