Hotter than hell
August 10, 2004So the reunion is over and I’m now in Las Vegas for a few days before flying back to Louisville. But damn it’s hot here–yesterday hit 111 officially and of course in the concrete jungle of the Strip it’s a lot hotter.
I did take the nifty new monorail system ($10 for a 24-hour pass) over to the Las Vegas Hilton to see the new Star Trek rides. The new Borg 3-D ride is kinda silly but fun. And they still have the old motion simulator ride but it’s now called Klingon Encounter.
I’m just drinking as much water as I can to stay hydrated. Hopefully I’ll survive until Friday when I fly out of here.
