Winter is coming
October 16, 2004When I got up this morning it was a bit chilly, so I turned on the heater for the first time this season. Then of course like the lazy dog I am, I tried crawling back into bed. But it was too cold even with the heater. Because, again, due to my laziness I didn’t bother to bring out the comforter.
Tonight I will definitely use the comforter–it’s supposed to dip into the 40’s. Much as I like winter, I wish it wasn’t starting quite so soon.
It did help decide my Halloween costume though. I was thinking about going with this Egyptian king outfit, but it didn’t look very warm and I’d have to wear sandals to really make the costume work. So instead I’m going as a hippie–got the fake rasta hair and the peace sign and my tie-dye shirt. The nice thing about that costume is I can wear jeans and normal shoes with it.
I need the costume for the Halloween party I’m going to in a couple weeks. Figured if it’s this cold now it’ll be only worse in two weeks.
