Ah, iTunes does have a way to get at recent rips
November 29, 2004I guess my diatribe yesterday about iTunes was premature–there is in fact a way to get a smart playlist that displays the most recently ripped music. It’s not obvious though–you have to edit one of the existing smart playlists, in essence take it over and replace it with your own custom smart list.
Still not as easy as I’d expect from iTunes but it should do nicely. I found it here at work so I haven’t had a chance to try it out on my iTunes collection at home. But it seems like it should work the way I want.
