Let the gambling resume!
January 17, 2005The Caesars Indiana river boat casino has been closed for the last week-and-a-half. Two consecutive weekends, which must have hurt their revenue for this first quarter. Anyway, the Ohio River has cooperated and dropped low enough to let them re-open today. Conveniently it’s the MLK holiday so a lot of people, including me, had the day off.
I drove up about 10 a.m., gambled my $60 limit, and then had lunch with the comps in my account. My timing was good because by the time I got out, there was a steady line of cars coming into the garage. So I got there early enough to avoid the mass rush.
