My Duo has arrived
January 20, 2005The Duo I won last week from eBay has arrived. It was waiting on my door step last night when I got home. Had to let it come up to room temperature of course, which drove me crazy. I so wanted to just turn it on but I knew that was a bad idea.
So after about an hour I figured it was ready, and I tried powering up the DuoDock. No luck–it would not fire up and it would not eject the Powerbook. I had to pry open the top of the DuoDock, and then manually eject the Powerbook.
Luckily the Powerbook itself seems to be fine. It boots up into OS 7.6, but the previous owner had a lot of crap installed on it so I’m gonna probably do a clean re-install of Mac OS to make the boot faster.
I’m so excited–a little project to occupy my time, so I watch less crappy TV I hope.
