Never going to a Mac swap meet again
January 25, 2005So the local Mac enthusiast club here in Louisville had a swap meet tonight. The basic idea was for everyone to bring the Mac stuff they no longer needed, to see if anybody else wanted to buy or trade the stuff, or just take it off your hands. Unfortunately I ended up coming home with more stuff than when I went to the swap meet.
That’s not how it’s supposed to work–I’m supposed to get rid of stuff I don’t need. Instead I’ve ended up with an old Performa that I don’t really need. But hey, the price was right (free) and it’s a nice all-in-one model similar to the Mac Classic. Now I just need to re-install the OS (it’s got a kid-friendly desktop installed, it looks like it was a school library or classroom computer at one point).
I also picked up cheap a Mac-compatible monitor to use with the Powerbook Duo when it’s in the Duo Dock. So now I have two ancient Mac computers in the house. Sigh.
