Carly gets canned
February 9, 2005Well, officially Carly Fiorina has quit as the CEO of HP. It certainly looks like she’s been forced out though–just a couple weeks ago there were reports the HP board was re-distributing responsibilities. You can’t do that and expect the CEO to stay–the board went around her and she responded the way anybody would in that kind of situation.
She hasn’t really turned HP around though, so in a way she probably deserves to be pushed out. Five years is a long tenure in Silicon Valley.
