Slept all day long
February 28, 2005I got up this morning and felt horrible. Stuffy and a headache and sneezing. The sneezing part started last night.
But I figured maybe once I got underway I’d feel better. I shaved and showered, and actually made it all the way to work. Where I continued to feel horrible, so I left after less than an hour and headed back home. Where I slept almost all day long.
Got back around 8:30 a.m. and hit the sack, waking around 1 p.m. I was hungry but there’s no groceries in the house. Except for some frozen dinners, which I didn’t feel like eating. So I had to drag myself out to eat, went to the Jumbo Buffet to have some Chinese food including some nice warm hot-and-sour soup.
Got back home and went right back to bed, didn’t get up until around 5 p.m. Went grocery shopping so I’d have stuff here, including some Tylenol Cold & Flu. I got the double pack that has both Daytime and Nightime versions. So I’m taking one of the nightime versions now, hoping it will help me sleep and feel better tomorrow morning.
The other weird part of this is that my right eye is swelling. Kinda like somebody hit me, but there’s no bruising and I don’t recall being in any bar fights this weekend. It was swollen this morning and it’s still a little inflated now. It’s also sore–when I blink I my right eyelid feels a little painful. Nothing horrible but I definitely can feel it when I blink. It’s weird, I’ve used the eye drops and they helped a bit but I have no idea what’s causing this and why it’s only the right eye.
Hoping it’s just a symptom of this cold or fly or whatever it is that hit me. I’m gonna go crazy if I have to stay home another day, I’m hoping I will feel good enough tomorrow morning to get to work.
Can’t believe I said that, as I don’t really like my job that much. But hey, it’s better than being cooped up here at home.
