Mine has the recipe booklet with it. It suggets you can use it for bagels,frozen eggrolls, frozen french fries,mini pizzas,tater tots etc. But you're right, it's not any faster. I bought it to use in my preschoolclassroom instead of going to the kitchen in the basement. The booklet does say it's for adult use only.
