Should I get an Xbox?
June 2, 2005They closed the Gamestop that was in the Mall St. Matthews, and moved its inventory over to a new Gamestop they just opened on Hurstbourne in the Wal-Mart shopping center. Weird thing is there’s already an EBGames in that same area, in an adjacent little strip shopping center. I thought they were merging, why open two competing stores within a block of each other?
Anyway, this new Gamestop has a special this week on used XBox consoles–$99. I’m so tempted, but then I’d be that worst of geeks–somebody who owns all three game consoles.
I’d probably sell the Gamecube. Much as I enjoyed Mario Power Tennis, there’s no other Gamecube game I’ve really liked. And Mario Tennis is getting a little boring and I haven’t played it in a month or more. So I wouldn’t miss the Gamecube.
I’m thinking I might try to sell the cube and the games separately. More hassle that way but I might be able to get more cash than trying to sell them as a bundle.
