FInally finished Angels & Demons
June 17, 2005Lately I just haven’t been able to sit down and just read when I get home. Used to be something I could do readily but lately I’ve just been restless when I get home. So I’ll flip thru the TV for a while, browse the Internet, wander thru the used CD store, anything that doesn’t really require focused concentration. I think it’s work stress or something.
Anyway, because of this I’ve been only slowly chipping away at Angels & Demons, which is sort of the prequel to “The DaVinci Code”. Now that I’m done I can start on DaVinci, haven’t any idea how long this might take.
But I will say I enjoyed Angels & Demons. Yes some of the science is suspect, the characters are kinda flat, but the action is very well paced. The whole book happens in essentially one day, from the time a vial of anti-matter is stolen from CERN until a madman comes perilously close to using that anti-matter to blow up the Vatican. All of that happens in the span of one day.
Okay, so the plot is also a little unbelievable as well. But hey, I had a good time reading it.
