Enjoyed the food at the Kentucky State Fair

Went to the Kentucky State Fair this weekend, took a few photos and ate some weird fair food.
The fried bologna sandwich was a big disappointment. Everybody at work had talked about how great it was but I found it disappointing–the bologna was rubbery and the bread should have been toasted because it was too soft and lacked any taste. I only ate half the sandwich and threw the rest away.
However, the corn dog was fantastic–a nice crunchy crust. Of course the ice cold Sprite I had with it really helped as well since it was kinda hot outside. Not as hot as Saturday thank God, but still warm and sticky.
Strangely I did not see any deep friend Twinkies this year, don’t know why. Not that I was planning on eating one but still I had expected to see a couple places offering them. Perhaps that fad has died out?
