$30 gas tank
August 31, 2005On my way home I saw that every gas station I passed had unleaded for $3.09 or more. A big jump from about $2.50 yesterday, all due to Katrina. This means when I refill my tank this week I will definitely pay over $30 for the very first time.
I know, it’s not really that much but still it’s painful. Wasn’t it just last year that my weekly fill-ups were less than $20? Now it’s costing me over $10 more per week. And prices are almost certain to go up before they come back down, with some experts predicting $4/gallon is not far off.
I’m beginning to wish I’d bought a hybrid.
