Lord of the Rings exhibit coming to Indianapolis!
September 16, 2005I cannot wait–the Indiana Museum up in Indianapolis is hosting the Lord of the Rings exhibition starting next month and running thru early January. They even have a blog covering the installation of the exhibit.
I have to try and go see this. Just need to figure out when I can make it up there. The tickets are timed, just like the St. Peter and the Vatican exhibit I saw in Cincinnati last year. Basically it’s a way to control the crowds–they sell a certain number of tickets for each hour, and you have to enter the museum at that given hour for the tickets to be valid. You can take as long as you like once you’re in but you have to get in at the appointed hour. Meaning you can’t just buy tickets, you have to know exactly when you plan on being at the museum.
My biggest problem is that going to Indianapolis involves other temptations I want to avoid. Like going to the Fry’s Electronics store in nearby Fishers, Indiana. I can spend way too much time and money when I go to one of those.
