A Bond without Q

They guy working on the screenplay for the next James Bond flick let slip that they’re going to “re-invent” the franchise with Bond as a much younger agent (28 is the target age). And he won’t have all the gadgets from Q. In fact there won’t be a Q at all in this one.

The rumour is that they looked at the success of flicks like The Bourne Identity and are wanting to move Bond in that direction. A lot more gritty and realistic, not the far-out super-villains and super-gadgets that we’re used to seeing in Bond films.

Remains to be seen of course how this works out. They don’t have a finished screenplay, and they don’t even have an actor lined up to play this re-incarnation of Bond.
