Bob passed away yesterday
September 21, 2005Bob until recently was my boss. Worked for him almost two years I guess. I wasn’t close to him, I would call us acquaintances not friends. But it still was a shock to learn that he passed away last night.
We had a company meeting this morning at which we learned of Bob’s passing. No details released from the family, all I know at this point is he was at the hospital last night with his family around him when he died. The visitation is Friday and the funeral Saturday morning.
I didn’t know his age but if I had to guess I’d say early 40’s maybe? I know he has children who are teenagers so that’s why I’m thinking 40ish sounds right. He had some health problems but still that’s so very young to die. Not much older than me.
It’s a brutal reminder of how transient this life is. We need to enjoy every moment of the life we’re given.
I pray his family has the strength to make it thru this very difficult time.
