German’s still don’t know what they’re gonna do
September 26, 2005Due to recent events here I haven’t been following the developments in the German election. Got caught up this morning (thank you, BBC!) and it seems there’s really been no change since last week. Negotiations on various coalitions have gone nowhere. Nor does it seem like Merkel and Schroeder can agree on who might lead if they attempt a grand coaltion.
It’s going to be a turbulent few weeks in Germany. I wonder how much government business is really going to get done when I’m sure all the politicians are either speculating about or participating in the various meetings to find a ruling coalition.
