Snowmageddon 2005
December 8, 2005The forecasters are predicting an early winter snowstorm today, and I think people are over-reacting a little. Like I went to Kroger last night to pick up some cereal and milk, the place was absolutely packed. Parking lot, inside the store, everywhere. People stocking up ahead of the “snow emergency”. They had almost every register open and still the lines were four or five people deep.
And on the radio this morning, in part jest I hope, one of the DJ’s was calling it “snowmageddon 2005″. Come on, it’s only 3 to 6 inches. It’s not a foot of snow, it’s a nice blanket of snow.
We’ll get through this. No need to panic, the snow will either be melted or plowed by the weekend.
