Why is it taking them so long to fix the link?
December 9, 2005So earlier this week I mentioned how a gay porn awards site was erroneously linking to mine. I contacted them Tuesday about fixing the link, they said they’d get right on it. But as of last night, my Google Analytics report says I’m still getting traffic from their site.
They’re still linking to me, three days after I told them about the bad link. I’m guessing that whoever built the site for them is not on staff, some contractor who is now busy on other projects.
But really, it’s just one little link. Yes I realize it’s inside a CFM file but how hard is it to fire up Dreamweaver, edit the one line with the bad link, and upload it to the hosting company?
Well, all I know is there’s a lot of disappointed people out there clicking that link and expecting to land on some gay porn site. Instead they get my crappy blog page.
