Yahoo bought del.icio.us??
December 16, 2005Man I must have been sleeping–completely missed this item last week about Yahoo buying up Del.icio.us. Now Yahoo owns two major sites built on tagging–Flickr was snatched up a while back.
Amazing that social networking is already consolidating–this mini-industry is not that old. Even my employer got into the act, buying up Consumating.com which is a social dating site for geeks.
Man I wish I’d come up with the idea for one of these sites and then sold it for hundreds of millions of dollars.
