2005 is finally over
December 22, 2005Well, the actual year 2005 isn’t quite over yet. But the work year is over–today was the last day at work before our holiday break. It’s one of the things I really like about my employer–we get the whole week off from Christmas to New Year’s. Of course since the actual holidays are on a weekend we’re also getting a few days before and after, like tomorrow which is only the 23rd.
I was actually working right up until about 5 p.m. Trying to finish up some dev search pages so that the business leads could take a look at the kinds of data we have and make some decisions about what the “real” search pages will look like. It’s actually some pretty cool technology, letting us give very structured search results. I’m looking forward to it going live probably sometime Q1 of 2006.
In the meantime I have a few days here in Louisville before I fly out to the West coast for the New Year festivities. Going to see the Rose Parade, not really because I want to but Mom wants to see it. The part I am looking forward to is spending time at the Getty Museum. Been there once but it was towards the end of the day so I didn’t really get to see much.
