From Hollywood to the Getty
December 31, 2005Posted some photos from the first couple days of my Los Angeles vacation. First up are some from Hollywood. Mom and I walked along Hollywood Boulevard taking in the walk of fame and the sights. Also took a tour of the star’s homes, which was actually better than I’d expected.
Also went to the Getty, which is a spectacular museum. A lot of folks, including me, go mostly for the architecture and not the art. Amazing modern design of the museum campus, and the various gardens are worth visiting as well. Definitely on the short list of must-see places in the LA area.
Today my cousin Vicky took us around to see the construction of floats for the Rose Parade. Will try to post those pictures tonight or sometime tomorrow.
