And another one bites the dust
February 4, 2006So I mentioned earlier this week how there was finally one good Filipino restaurant here in Louisville. I just drove by where the other Filipino place was located and found out they’ve closed. Where Edna’s Good Stuff used to be there’s now a “Restaurant for lease” sign.
On the one hand you hate to see any small business fail. But really, the food at Edna’s just wasn’t good, especially compared to the stuff coming from Sari Sari. I was surprised how long Edna’s managed to survive, I’m pretty sure as recently as this past December they were still open.
Louisville is full of an amazing number of ethnic restaurants for a city this size, so I know it has enough foodies to keep one Filipino place open. But it has to be a good one, hopefully Sari Sari can survive where Edna’s could not.
