Wal-mart plans 50% more US stores
February 8, 2006Amazing, Wal-Mart thinks there’s room to add 1,500 new stores in the US. An almost 50% increase over the 3,200 stores already dotting the country.
I can’t imagine where they could put that many more Wal-Marts. Then again there’s no arguing they’ve been successful so far. They must know what they’re doing. But I just find it hard to imagine our economy can support that many more big box stores of any kind, be it Target or Wal-Mart or K-Mart.
