I’m in the closet today

April 8, 2006

Literally, that is. Fixing up the closet in the spare bedroom. I bought one of those closet kits, the kind that has a shelving tower and a couple configurable poles for clothes. To replace the rather spartan one-shelf-one-clothes-pole system the previous owner had installed.

The thing is, when I removed that old shelving I found out the owner had not painted the closet first. He installed the shelf and then painted after. So when I removed it, there was bare drywall where the shelf and bracket had been. Which is going to look ugly after I install this new closet shelving.

Thus I decided to grab a can of cheap paint at Home Depot and re-paint the closet interior. So it will be a uniform antique white behind the new shelves. Now I am, per the old saying, waiting for paint to dry. I’m hoping in a couple hours it will be dry enough for me to finish up the installation of the shelves and closet rods.

Just need to find something to occupy myself for a couple hours. Maybe pop in one of the many DVD’s I still haven’t watched. Maybe Ice Age, which Paul let me borrow a while back.
