US bans vegemite
October 23, 2006Well it’s about damned time–the FDA has banned vegemite, and they’re confiscating jars of it at the border. Vegemite is that horrible stuff Australians like to spread on their toast, sorta like jam but with a bad smell and awful taste.
This is what the FDA should be doing, not worrying about drug safety or spinach safety but confiscating vegemite. And while they’re at it, kimchee ought to be banned as well. Oh, and haggis too.
