Fox cancels O.J. book and TV special
November 20, 2006Thank goodness, Fox came to their senses and cancelled the horrible O.J. Simpson non-confession that they announced just last week. Rupert Murdoch, the chairman of News Corp, apparently does have some decency in him as he personally announced the cancellation and apologized for the fiasco.
They probably still have to pay O.J. whatever sum was promised to him, but swallowing that seems like spare change compared to all the negative press Fox was getting. Better to take the bitter pill of cancelling the whole thing even if it costs them a few million to settle the contract.
Of course O.J. already got what he wanted, which is more attention. Got the whole country talking about him once again.
