We take dining-out seriously

January 22, 2007

For a while this afternoon, the lead story on the Courier-Journal’s Web site was about the new executive chef at the Brown Hotel.  It’s either a slow news day or Louisville takes its dining seriously.

I’ve never actually dined at any of the restaurants in the Brown, though I’ve heard it’s good.  Just seems a bit upscale to me, the kind of place that probably has a dress code.  Which means I’m almost certainly never going to eat there.

The part of the article though that was a bit odd was the last sentence about how the new chef’s six-year-old son lives in Lexington.  I assume he’s living with somebody in Lexington, not living there by himself.  I mean he’s only six after all.  But no mention of who he’s living with in the story.  You’d think they would mention that somehow, if they’re going to mention him at all.
