A tenth of a billion iPods sold
April 9, 2007Apple has sold their 100 millionth iPod. Two of those 100 million were sold to me–an old 3G iPod that is my primary music player, and an iPod Nano that I use when I’m mowing the lawn or sometimes when I go jogging.
I’ve also bought a number of songs from the iTunes Music Store, but it’s not a huge number. I believe more than 50 but less than 100 so far. The vast majority of my music is from CD’s I bought and ripped onto the iPod.
I wonder how many of those 100 million were sold to multi-iPod households like me? In other words, does 100 million iPods represent only 50 million customers?
