Leave Larry Craig alone
August 30, 2007Look, those of us from Idaho have heard the rumours for quite some time that Larry Craig was gay. As a right-wing conservative who opposes gay marriage, his sexual orientation does seem like it would be newsworthy.
He’s of course denying that he’s gay. However I noticed that’s all he’s denying–he never once denied being bisexual. That might be splitting hairs to some, almost Clinton-esque. But I’m betting that’s the situation–if he is bisexual then he can honestly say he’s not gay, since to his mind that would mean somebody who is only attracted to other men.
Still, if all the hypocrites are run out of Washington there will be nobody left to run the country. I’m not a fan of Mr. Craig but he’s been good for Idaho. I think the press should stop hounding him so ferociously.
