Courier-Journal might be getting smaller
September 24, 2007Looks like Gannet is considering shrinking the web on many of their mid-market papers, including the local Courier-Journal. I’ve already mentioned that I think the current C-J is not worth its newsstand price. If they shrink the size of the paper then it’s even lower value IMO.
I wouldn’t want to be in the newspaper business these days. The Internet is completely disruptive to their business model, it can’t be fun having to make these kinds of decisions. It’s not about growth, it’s about just surviving.
