Moving to Music City

January 22, 2008

Well it’s a bit unexpected but I’ve accepted a job offer from a company in Nashville. Wasn’t really looking for a new job, but a friend who works there said they had a perfect job for me. I interviewed, I liked what I saw, and apparently they liked me. So I’m off to the Music City.

Next Friday is my last with my current employer here in Louisville. Then I have a week off, though I’m sure I’ll be busy getting the house ready to put up for sale. Then I start in Nashville.

I’m kinda hoping I can swing a small condo in the downtown or midtown area. I’ve been looking on Realtor.com and there’s a few places at a reasonable price in the vicinity. I’d love to live in a city again, where I can walk to stuff instead of having to drive everywhere.

Sorry to hear you are living but best of luck. I hope you really enjoy it, it’s a nice town. Who are you going to work for? Brentwood/Franklin is a really nice area but its south of town. I lived there for a couple years and thought it was beautiful.

Nashville’s a hip city. I had the opportunity to work there on a few PR accounts in the late 90s; very nice town. You’ll love it (and it’ll be warmer!). Enjoy! Be sure to keep the blog going!

fresh rex: good luck man! I’ve never been to Nashville, but it’s a good time as any to start over.
