Not having Internet at home really sucks
March 23, 2008I’m still Internet-less at my new townhome, both AT&T and Comcast have issues because it is a brand-new place that doesn’t show up on their database. I think I might though be able to eventually get it thru Comcast, there’s a person I’m supposed to call on Monday to get an update. There’s some issue I guess with the new construction that they have to iron out but I know they will have to eventually service the townhomes. I mean, they aren’t going to turn away several hundred customers in the community.
There’s somebody near my townhome whose wireless I can sometimes sneak, but whoever they are they are just far enough away that it’s spotty connectivity to their access point. So when I really need a connection that’s stable, like when I want o do online bill paying, I come down to the Panera Bread which is where I’m at now.
Hadn’t realized how much I would miss Internet access. And TV, all I get are some over-the-air TV channels. I will probably get that resolved the same time I get Internet resolved, since I’m hoping to get both from one carrier. Just to simplify things.
