Finally have an offer on the house
April 5, 2008Well, about six week after putting it on the market we finally have a concrete offer on he house. It’s not a great offer, but we’re going to make a counter-offer and see how it goes. I can live with it, if it goes thru at this price.
But so far, real estate has not been a great investment for me. With the exception of the rental property I bought in Idaho, which has generally done well for me. Even that though is struggling, it has now been vacant a couple months. But neither of the last two homes I’ve lived in sold for much of a profit.
I think I’ll stick with the stock market as my primary investment vehicle. I’ll leave real estate to others who can manage to find profit from it. Apprently it’s not something I can do.
