The Yahoo exodus is in full force
June 20, 2008WTF is going on at Yahoo? I mean seriously, the number of senior execs who seem to be leaving daily is beginning to look like a full-blown exodus of talent.
I know perception isn’t always truth, but it has a way sometimes of becoming the truth. With all these senior-level departures Yahoo starts to look like a sinking ship. And that appearance starts to scare away new talent, which makes it even more difficult for Yahoo to compete. Which might in fact make Yahoo into a true sinking ship.
I really hope they find a way to get back up on their feet. Much as I like Google, competition is also good for the marketplace. We need a strong Yahoo that competes well with Google.
