The new trainer sucks
September 28, 2008I’ve been working out with a trainer at the gym for a couple weeks, and then last week he’s gone. They won’t tell me the whole story, whether he quit or was fired or what. I’m guessing he quit, it’s clear that the guy who runs the trainer department has a bit of an ego problem. They had clashed before, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Alan (my trainer) eventually got sick of the guy and just left.
So I’ve been switched to a new trainer, and so far I’m not impressed with this guy. For one thing he has already cancelled an appointment, and we’ve only had two scheduled. So 50% of our appointments thus far, he has bailed on me. He did call in advance to let me know, but still it’s annoying. He bailed on an entire day, not just me. Every client who was scheduled with him this past Friday got cancelled.
And the one workout we did was, well, kinda boring. Very repetitive stuff, and unimaginitive too like just using the Step Reebok platform for doing steps. Whereas Alan would have had us doing weird and interesting things off that same Step Reebok equipment, Billy just did the obvious step exercises.
I guess you wan’t really tell much from one session, so I’ll give Billy a chance to show improvement over the next couple sessions. But if we keep doing this same stuff, I’m going to quit and find a new trainer.
