Star Trek was awesome

Saw the new Star Trek movie this past weekend. Twice — on Friday a bunch of us from work took an extended lunch hour to go see it. Then on Sunday I decided I wanted to see it again so I went to a morning matinee showing.

It holds up well to multiple viewings, though of course I’m a fan-boy so my judgment is clouded. But I really think they did a good job with this reboot of the franchise. Now of course let’s see if they can make a good sequel or two.

And I’m pretty certain there will be sequels. At least one — Paramount didn’t spend all this money rebooting the series just for a one-time thing. They want to squeeze more money out of the franchise.
